Our records show that in 1990 a lady called Jean had a vision that the Lord was telling her to go out on to the streets of Worthing and help the homeless, from that small seed Worthing Churches Homeless Projects was born. They started the work in 1991 and 20 years on, as many of you know, we provide a complete pathway for those who are homeless or insecurely housed, helping them on their journey to independent living. We are always seeking ways in which we can evolve to better serve our clients. We could not do this without your continued support for which we are eternally grateful.

In this, our 20th year, we are asking all our supporters to consider different ways in which they could help us.

  • Could you run a small fundraising event on our behalf – a coffee morning or something similar?
  • Could you spread the word about the work that we do? Tell a friend or work colleague?
  • Could you ask your employer / local group to support us in some way – through a dress down day or alternative fundraising event?
  • Could you attend one of our events?
  • Could you donate items to our shop?
  • Hold a birthday party for us asking guests to make donations of money / food / items for the shop as presents.

The list is endless. We accept that there are so many calls on all of us at this time, to support so many different deserving causes, but please could you help us to make 2011 a record year for Worthing Churches Homeless Projects, to ensure we are here for a further 20 years helping those for whom life has dealt them an unfortunate blow, where they need our help to recover. If you are able to help in someway, please let the fundraising team know on 01903 227829 and we can ensure you have any materials that you need i.e. t shirts, collection boxes, balloons, information etc.

Thank you for caring about our clients,
