Funding
The costs of running our four projects for a year are around £1.1 million. Last year, we received just over £350,000 from Supporting People, which is a government funded organisation. A further £220,000 was received in the form of housing benefit for the clients who reside in our projects. This left us with over half a million pounds which we needed to find.
The additional funds are raised through various different sources i.e. legacies, fundraising events, trusts.
The local community are generous in giving time and money. If every resident of Worthing were to donate just £10 per year the organisation would have sufficient funds to run for another year, with £15 per resident, 450 individuals would receive the services they need and the Worthing area will be a community where no local person needs to sleep out and everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their potential.
