If you would like to raise money on our behalf, here are some hints and tips which may be of help:

  • Auction of a promise - persuade people to donate a promise of their time or the use of their belongings, or to donate a gift. You can even ask people to donate themselves and auction them as slaves for the day.
  • The *#!!#! swear box - it's very easy to organise and a great tongue-in-cheek aid to 'cleaning up' your work environment.
  • Bring and buy - clear out the loft and raise a bundle at your local car boot sale or fayre.
  • That's my baby - get baby photos and run a competition to see who can guess which bundle of fun has become which adult. Suitable for any workplace or club.
  • The Great Cake Bake - encourage your colleagues to donate some of their favourite home-cooked (or shop bought) goodies to sell in your workplace – a simple way to raise money and perk up the morning coffee break.
  • Quiz night - gather your friends and family at the pub / club or office with prizes for the best team, most inventive answer etc. This can be easily run within a local pub or company. Charge an entry fee and get prizes donated from local companies.
  • A dress down or fancy dress day at work or in school - people make a donation to dress casually – but the more adventurous might be sponsored to adopt fancy dress for the day. If you can't get away with fancy dress, try having a bad tie day or similar.
  • Easter Egg-citement - hand paint hen's eggs for each other and donate the money you would have spent on chocolate eggs. Or if you can't resist the lure of chocolate, get an Easter egg donated and raffle it off.
  • Curry Night – cook up a few curries and invite friends and family along, getting them to make a donation. Hold a raffle too – every little helps!

Good luck and remember, the money you raise will really make a difference!
