Fundraise for us
We are always looking for wonderful people to fundraise for us! There are so many fun ways to get involved.
Host your own event
Events such as cake sales, tea parties, clothes swaps, car boot sales, fancy dress parties, quiz nights etc are great ways to raise money whilst having fun at the same time! Previously we have had people hosting curry nights, coffee mornings and raffles.
Fundraise with a friend, family member, community group, colleagues or faith group. Fundraising with a friend or in a group can be really fun, it also means you will get more people coming to your event as your social network will be bigger, but it can also take some of the pressure off you organising everything.
Our top tip for hosting a fundraising event is to do more than one money generating idea. If you’re hosting a quiz night, also do a raffle. If you’re taking part in a car boot sale, sell some cakes as well!
Sporting/ challenge events
If you’re looking to challenge yourself, you can sign up for a sponsored run, maybe even a marathon! You can also get sponsorship for other challenges like Tough Mudder, walking events like the Thames Pathway, or a skydive.
Committing to a sponsored event can really help to motivate yourself! Training for a 10km run or a long hike can give you something to focus on when trying to get fit.
We really appreciate the effort you go to to help us raise the funds we need each year to keep our vital services going. If you are interested in organising your own event please take a look at our Fundraising pack and complete the form on page three to let us know about your plans and how we can support you best!
You can set up an online fundraising page for WCHP here.
