Lawton & Dawe Properties support Worthing Churches Homeless Projects by managing two of our bedsit properties. Lawton & Dawe Properties do not charge us for this service. By doing this it means that not only is it saving the charity money and time, but also when residents are ready to move on from our property they can do so with a reference from an independent letting agent. Lawton & Dawe Properties are ARLA registered.
Lucy Dawe who owns Lawton & Dawe Properties is also a staunch supporter of the charity taking part in many fundraising events to raise much needed funds for us.
Following the closure of a provision in Horsham, providing support and advice to homeless and insecurely housed people, there is no provision for referral to permanent accommodation for these clients. To assist with this Horsham Matters have set up a winter Night Shelter provision. WCHP are working in partnership with them on this by recruiting a Nightshelter facilitator to work with Horsham Matters. The post is funded by Horsham Matters and line managed by the WCHP CLT manager. By doing this, Horsham Matters have access to our knowledge and expertise in working with people in this situation.
ANA (Recovery in the real world) own two houses in Horsham. WCHP manage and run these houses for ANA looking after the referral routes in. Staff within the projects are employed by WCHP.
